About

My sister gave me my first deck of tarot cards over 30 years ago (The Elemental Tarot by Caroline Smith and John Astrop), and I fell in love with thinking of the tarot suits as elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water, and Spirit) and learning to engage with my cards on an intuitive and personal level. I still love this deck and this way of engaging with the cards, but I now tend to use decks more influenced by and based on the traditional Ryder-Waite-Smith deck.

Flash forward 20-something years, and many readings, books, and courses later, and in 2013, I began to read professionally for other people in both individual and party settings.

My current top 3 favorite decks are The Spacious Tarot (by Carrie Mallon and Annie Ruygt ), The Wild Unknown (by Kim Krans), and The Morgan-Greer Tarot (by Lloyd Morgan and Bill Greer).

In my practice, tarot cards are not some kind of scary fortune-telling device for future events — but rather, they are a window of perspective, a ray of illumination, that helps us gain valuable, useful understanding.

I draw at least one card for myself EVERY DAY — I’m a believer in the cards’ ability to give us insights into life and offer a sense of perspective and validation in this moment.
